HP has introduced new additions to its OmniBook 5 lineup, unveiling 14-inch and 16-inch Copilot Plus laptops equipped with Snapdragon X-series processors.
These laptops feature high-resolution OLED panels with a maximum brightness of 300 nits. Designed with eye comfort in mind, the displays are certified by TUV and Eyesafe for reduced blue light exposure.
Buyers can customise these notebooks with a Snapdragon X Plus X1P-42-100 chip featuring eight processing cores. Graphics are handled by a Qualcomm Adreno unit, while memory can go up to 32GB of LPDDR5x.
For wireless performance, the devices utilise Qualcomm’s FastConnect 6900 platform, offering support for Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth version 5.3.
The laptops deliver enhanced sound through dual speakers, AI-powered noise reduction for clearer calls, and two built-in amps, all supported by HP’s Audio Boost 2.0 technology.
Both models come equipped with a Full HD 1080p infrared camera that supports facial recognition via Windows Hello and includes a built-in shutter for enhanced privacy during video chats and secure logins.
The series offers up to 34 hours of battery life, steady unplugged performance, and quick 50 per cent recharge in 30 minutes using a compact 65W charger -- ideal for students and families on the move.
The HP OmniBook 5 14 will be available in July at a base price of $799 on hp.com, with earlier availability in June on Amazon and Micro Center. The larger OmniBook 5 16 will also be available in July, starting at $849.
