Naeem Khan the famous New York-based designer ended Day Two of the Lakme Fashion Week with his sexy outfits.
He is the couturier to Hollywood beauties, royalty and American First Lady Michelle Obama. So when Mumbai born, New York-based fashion designer Naeem Khan showed for the first time in India at the Lakme Fashion Week, everyone was justifiably excited.
The outfits included sensuous dresses, sophisticated gowns as well as amazingly crafted and visualised separates, which had Naeem's impeccable cut, finish and tailoring.
Khan, who comes from a family that runs a successful embroidery business in Mumbai, exhibited his knowledge of the craft and textiles as well as the restrained art of draping and fabric cutting.
Khan's silhouettes were simple but at the same time permitted intricate embellishments to take centre stage.

Even as embellishments continue to be Naeem Khan's strength, the master designer showed just why he was at the top of his game as his printed dresses in smudgy prints appeared on the ramp.
This wasn't the first time we were seeing capes on the ramp this season but we couldn't help admiring Surjeet Kaur's cape gown as she took to the ramp.
As the audience broke into a loud applause, dressed in a simple black t-shirt and a pair of grey trousers, Naeem Khan took a bow and humbly confessed to an adoring audience that he was glad he could finally show in India.
