Fruit Kheer: 20-Min Recipe

This Diwali, plan a fresh Fruit Kheer that will win hearts.

Ingredients

  • 2 bananas
  • 1 apple

  • 1 mosambi or sweet lime
  • 1 chikoo or sapodilla

  • ½ cup rawa or semolina
  • 2 cups milk

  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 tsp elaichi or cardamom

Method

  • Peel and dice all the fruit into small cubes and keep aside.
  • In a saucepan, boil the milk along with the rawa and the sugar, over medium heat, stirring continuously, till it reduces by ½ an inch.

  • Add the cardamom and take off heat and cool.
    Deep-freeze the kheer for 10 minutes.

  • Add the diced fruit and serve.
  • You can also add dry fruit to the mix if you prefer.
