Aloo Shak: 15-Min Recipe

  • 3 large potatoes, peeled, cubed
  • 1 cup fresh grated coconut

  • 4-5 curry leaves

  • 1 tsp sugar
  • Salt to taste, about 1 tsp
  • 2 cups water

Method

  • Heat the oil in a pressure cooker over medium heat and add the jeera, curry leaves, rai.
    When the seeds begin to pop, add the potatoes, haldi, chilly powder, water and cook 3-4 whistles over medium heat.

  • Open up the cooker and add the sugar, salt, coconut.
  • Mix well and bring to boil once more and serve hot with puris; Serves 2-3.
