Dell's gaming-focused brand, Alienware, introduced two new laptops -- the 16 Aurora and 16X Aurora, as its newest mid-tier and entry-level offerings. Both are powered by Intel’s Core Ultra 9 chips, support memory configurations up to 64 GB, include storage options reaching 2 TB via SSD, and can be configured with Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 5070 graphics cards.
These laptops feature high-resolution panels delivering 2560 by 1600 pixels. The screens offer smooth visuals with refresh speeds peaking at 240Hz for the 16X variant, while the standard 16 model caps at 120Hz.
Created with daily portability in mind, the Alienware 16 Aurora features a sleek, travel-friendly build that enhances cooling efficiency without relying on a back-mounted vent system.
Powering the Alienware 16 Aurora is the Intel 9 270H chip at its highest configuration, whereas the 16X Aurora variant supports Intel’s top-tier Ultra 9 silicon for enhanced computing capabilities.
Each variant includes dual Gen 1 USB 3.2 inputs, a pair of Gen 2 USB-C slots, a single HDMI 2.1 output, a wired LAN interface, and a headphone connector. Wireless options feature the latest in Wi-Fi 7 technology along with Bluetooth support for seamless device pairing.
These notebooks feature an infrared full-HD webcam, enabling biometric authentication through Windows Hello functionality.
The Alienware 16 Aurora comes with two battery options: a 60Wh or a 96Wh, weighing 2.57 kg. In contrast, the Alienware 16X Aurora is equipped exclusively with a 96Wh battery, weighing 2.66 kg.
Prices start for the Alienware 16 Aurora is set at $1,149, approximately ₹98,100 in Indian currency, while the 16X Aurora has a base tag of $1,949, or around ₹1,66,500. Each model is offered in three configurations, featuring progressively enhanced graphics processors.
