Air Fryer Potato Rolls: 20-Min Recipe

Your air fryer and Chef Roopa Nabar's recipe will come in handy for making piping hot Potato Rolls to chomp away at when the rain is coming down in buckets.

Ingredients

  • 2-3 medium potatoes, boiled, peeled, mashed
  • 2 tbsp ginger-garlic-green chilly paste
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped fresh green dhania or coriander leaves or cilantro

  • 1 tsp jeera or cumin powder
  • 1 tsp brown dhania or coriander powder
  • 8 bread slices + little water for dampening the bread
  • Oil for basting/appying on the rolls

  • 1 tbsp chaat masala
  • 1 tsp amchur or dried mango powder
  • Salt to taste, about 1½ tsp
  • 1 tbsp maida or all-purpose flour in ½ half cup water, to make a slurry

Method

  • Preheat the air fryer to 220°C.
  • Combine the potatoes, ginger-garlic-green chilly paste, chopped coriander, cumin powder, coriander powder, chaat masala, amchur powder, salt in a bowl and mix well.
    Keep aside.

  • Drizzle a little water on a bread slice to dampen.
    Flatten it out slightly with a rolling pin.

  • Place a portion of the potato mixture in the middle of the flattened slice and roll tightly into a cylinder.
    Seal with the slurry.
  • Repeat for the remaining rolls.

  • Place the rolls on a piece of butter paper in the air fryer.
    Apply a little oil on the rolls with a kitchen brush.

  • Air fry the rolls for 3 minutes at 180°C, turning them and applying a little more oil.
    Fry for about 12 minutes till golden brown
  • Serve hot with tomato ketchup or hot sauce.
