10 Countries Where Partners Cheat The Most

A 2025 news report in nationthailand.com looks at the rates of infidelity in the world and discovers Thailand tops the list. Infidelity has several definitions, some more elastic than others and depends on partners' equations with each other.

Thailand

Having the highest rates of infidelity, 51 per cent of the married population are prone to infidelity. This means more than half the population of Thailand are likely to cheat their spouse.

Denmark 

Denmark comes second. 46 per cent of Danes are in the habit of cheating. Is that why it is one of the happiest nations too?

Germany

Germany is not left far behind. 45 per cent of Germans might have an affair with a third person. This means nearly 1 out of 2 people in Germany will, perhaps, try non-consensual non-monogamy, which is, in a word, cheating.

Italy

Romeo is after all an Italian name. Like the Germans, 45 per cent of Italians have a roving eye.

France

Sridevi might not have cheated with her French lover Mehdi Nebbou in English Vinglish because of her Indian values and marital status. But Mehdi was a rare case. 43 per cent of the French population look beyond their spouses for a little fun under the bedcovers.

Norway

The country's beautiful countryside and other natural distractions does not prevent spouses from straying. 41 per cent of Norwegian look for love or sex outside of their marriage or partnerships.

Some 80 per cent of world’s diamonds are traded in this country and there must therefore be a surfeit of the stone floating about. Now, which mistress or kept man won’t be impressed by a diamond ring or a diamond necklace as a gift? Is it then any wonder that 40 per cent of Belgians two-time?

Love hotels and apps that delete messages to cover the cheating tracks of spouses are a common thing in Spain. With 39 per cent of Spaniards having infidelity issues, no wonder these apps and hotels do apparently roaring business.

Relationship dissatisfaction is a big issue in United Kingdom. Seeking emotional validation and lack of sexual fulfilment are the reasons why Brits are likely to cheat on their partners. Though the unfaithul are 36 per cent, not as high as the Thais, UK is 10th on this list.
