Mrs Radha: I hold shares of L&T and Ultra-Tech. Are they good to hold for long term? Also please advise about Nataraj Ceramic and BOC Ltd. Not sure what to do with them as I don't see any trade listing going on for it.

Please advise on this as I keep receiving letters from unknown stock brokers quoting the shares I hold with these 2 companies and offering to buy them. Is it okay to deal with such stock brokers who I am not aware of?

Ajit Mishra: You can hold L&T and Ultra-Tech for long term as they are fundamentally sound companies and can earn healthy returns over long term. As per our understanding, Natraj Ceramic name has been changed to Dalmia Bharat, while BOC Ltd has been changed to Linde India.
