Win the Young Philosopher Award

What: The Young Philosopher Award and the Best Book Of The Year In Philosophy Award from the Indian Council of Philosophical Research.

About The Young Philosopher Award

-Four experts in the area will shortlist candidates for the Young Philosopher Award.

-An apex Selection Committee constituted by the ICPR will then select candidates for the award.

-The Young Philosopher will win Rs 25,000.

About the Best Book Of The Year In Philosophy Award

-Three experts in the area will shortlist the books.

-An apex committee will then select the books for the award.

-The author of the Best Book Of The Year In Philosophy will win Rs 50,000.

Are you eligible?

For the Young Philosopher Award:

-You must be under 35 years old as on March 31, 2004.

For the Best Book Of The Year In Philosophy Award

-All published works in India in Hindi, Sanskrit or English in the last two years in philosophy are eligible.

-Your book must be original and show promise of mature philosophical thinking.

How to apply

For the Young Philosopher Award:

-Please submit your biodata along with five copies of your published work in the last five years.

-If you have been nominated by any Heads of the Department of Philosophy of Indian Universities/Institutes, you must submit your published work in the last five years for evaluation at the ICPR.

For the Best Book Of The Year In Philosophy Award

-Please submit five copies of your books to the ICPR for evaluation.

-One author can submit only one book at a time.
