You can love her. You can hate her. But you cannot ignore Lady Gaga.
The singer, with her won multiple Grammy awards, multiple artist of the year rankings and her stature as one of the world's best-selling musicians, is just as known for her music as she is for her unconventional -- often uncomfortable, but never boring -- fashion statements.
Lady Gaga is also known for steadily expanding her philanthropic work. She is the founder of the Born This Way Foundation, a non-profit focussed on youth empowerment.
She is also a vocal advocate of LGBT rights and mental health awareness.
How does Lady Gaga constantly manage to push the boundaries?
She wrote on Instagram, 'When my mind begins to wander, I spend it being creative with my friends. Much better place to put your dreams, in the room, instead of leaving them in your head.'
