Ingredients:
300-400 gms mutton with bones
1 onion, chopped finely
1 tomato, chopped finely
3/4th teaspoon garlic paste
3/4th teaspoon ginger paste
2 green chillies, slit and de-seed
6-7 small cloves of garlic, chopped finely
1 teaspoon of cumin seeds
mint leaves for garnish
1 cup milk
2 cloves
1 small stick of cinnamon
3-4 black peppercorns
1 teaspoon of oil
Salt as per taste
1 teaspoon Quaker oats (optional)
Method:
Mix the mutton with the onion, tomato, ginger and garlic paste, green chillies and salt, and boil in a pressure cooker. Allow one whistle to blow before lowering the flame. Let it simmer for 20 minutes on a low flame. Open the lid after 10 minutes and set aside.
Use another vessel to heat the oil. Put in the cumin seeds and garlic pieces. Add the cinnamon, cloves and peppercorns. Lower the flame and add the milk. Add the spices in the pressure cooker and serve. Add a sprinkling of mint leaves for garnish before serving.
Tip: Add Quaker oats with mutton before boiling for a thicker consistency.
