We considered our options and decided to spend the night on an open patch about 30 feet away from Lobo House No 2.
We went back to get the others, who were not too happy about spending the night in the open. It took a little convincing to get them to finally agree.
After a hearty dinner (Maggi!) we started another campfire, which we planned to have burn throughout the night.
It was a very long and very, very cold night that left every one sleepless. The dew did actually. The night was absolutely still. Not even a light breeze. But the dew left us shivering. Soon we could not sit away from the campfire.
If one could ignore the cold, the night was beautiful, with the moon and twinkling stars smiling at us. We could see the silhouette of the tall Kudremukh peak against the sky.
The setting was perfect for a round of tale telling. We shared our trekking experiences. Also related were the adventures of Kenneth Anderson who went after bloodthirsty man-eaters. Time passes slowly in the jungle.
