Calling dancers who want to take part in The Other Festival at The Park, Chennai!

Applications are invited from interested dancers to the Contemporary And Butoh Dance (a modern dance theatre that veers away from Western principles) Workshop, which will be conducted by Canada's dancer-choreographer-actor-teacher-artistic director Denise Fujiwara. Eight to 10 dancers will be selected to participate in the workshop, which will be held between 8 and 1 pm from November 22 to December 1.

Venue: Alliance Francaise Auditorium, College Road, Chennai.

Fees: Rs 950.

Auditions will be held on October 3, between 9 am and 12 pm, at the Alliance Francaise Auditorium.

At the end of the workshop, the dancers join in a dance performace at The Other Festival, where Fujiwara will perform her acclaimed Butoh dance solo, Sumida River.
