Shahid's musts

I carry my DVD portable player everywhere with me. I never leave home without it.

The most important thing on my agenda right now is my own home. I have not had the time to follow up on it yet, but that's my goal now.

An ideal house is a home.

I don’t want my house to ever look like a hotel room. I hate designer rooms.

My house should be homely.

The most important thing about a house are the people you come back to and the memories you have in that room, not the colour of the walls or how expensive your sofa set is.

I stay in Lokhandwala now. I would probably want to live in Bandra, Juhu or Versova -- one of the three [all four Mumbai surburbs are popular residential locations for film and television professionals; Shahid's mother actress Neelima Azim lives in Lokhandwala while his father, the acclaimed actor Pankaj Kapoor, lives in Versova. Shahid's girlfriend, Kareena Kapoor, lives in Bandra.].

Shahid's favourite music

I like all kinds of music. I think there are truly two types of music -- good music and bad music. I like good music.

When I am in a peppy mood, I love listening to pop or hip hop. Jazz, sometimes, when I am very tired.

I like listening to world music, like Buddha Bar, when I am exhausted and want to relax.

I listen to almost every film's music.
