The Times Higher Education Supplement's peer ranking of the world's top universities in physical and life sciences (The THES, founded in 1971, is the UK's most authoritative source of information about higher education).

And -- guess what? -- an Indian university features in the Top 40.

The rankings are drawn from an expert peer-review panel of 1,300 academics around the world, and are rated on subject specialism and location.

They cover the physical and life sciences (except for medicine).
