Kajol

If I ever had a daughter, I would have liked her to be like Kajol.

I have been a close friend of [veteran actress] Shobhana Samarth and her daughters, Tanuja and [the late] Nutan.

Tanuja called me one day and said Kajol did not want to study, and she didn't want her daughter to sit around at home doing nothing. She told me Kajol wanted to work in films. At the time, I was writing a script for [director] Rahul Rawail. I called Kajol here for a screen test and when Rahul saw her, she was selected almost instantly.
