Yeh Hai Jalwa is about a happy-go-lucky guy, Raju (Salman Khan). His life takes a twist when he discovers that he is the illegitimate son of UK-based businessman, Rajesh Mittal (Rishi Kapoor), who he believes is dead.

Raju sets off to London to claim his rightful place in the Mittal family.

Meanwhile, Rajesh Mittal is a happily married man with wife Smita (Rati Agnihotri) and daughter Rinkie (Rinkie Khanna).

Raju's unexpected visit leads to a series of goof-ups in the Mittal household. While Raju is busy trying to make a place for himself in his adamant father's heart, he also finds a soulmate in Sonia (Amisha Patel).

Will Rajesh Mittal eventually acknowledge Raju?
