Debt ridden in the village after marrying off his sisters, he is unable to save his property and house in the village from the clutches of the village thakur.

Dayashankar decides to sell the house in Bombay which his father had rented out 20 years ago. The only problem: The tenants who have been inhabiting the house for a measly rent of Rs 80.
