This time around he’s playing Lalit Verma, the father of the bride.
Theatre personality Lillete Dubey who made impressive appearances in Zubeidaa and Gadar-Ek Prem Katha recently, plays Pimmi, the frazzled mother of the bride-to-be.
As their daughter prepares to bid adieu, they seek comfort and solace in each other thus rediscovering lost love.
Apparently Dubey agreed to pad herself to look fat and homely because Mira Nair thought she was too thin and sexy for the role.
