Cricketer turned actor Salil Ankola made his debut on the silver screen in Manjerekar's Kurukshetra. Although his role in that film was nothing to write home about, Pitaah promises to be different.

Here, he is paired opposite Anupama Verma (Grahan). It is the only romantic angle in the film.
