The Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government has said that it would be committed to electoral reforms, which includes initiating steps to introduce State funding of election campaigns at the earliest.

The draft Common Minimum Programme (CMP) was circulated among allies and supporting parties on Friday . The electoral reforms would be a part of administrative reforms being proposed in the CMP.
