'It is important to vote to right the wrongs'

Ajit Agarkar, 26, has been one of India's most promising fast bowlers. His superlative performance in Australia saw India win a Test match Down Under for the first time in more than two decades. He spoke to Faisal Sharrif about Election 2004.

Is India shining?

In some sense I would say there has been a change, but in most ways I would say there hasn't been a huge improvement. But still, despite all this, I reckon it is important to vote to right the wrongs.

What do you want changed in our country?

It is tough to say anything off the top of my head, but there a few things that I would want changed in this country. Talking purely about my city [Mumbai] I would say that the traffic problems still exist. Getting to the ground eats up half the time and leaves you so tired. Maybe that should change.
