Ex-cricketer Bishen Singh Bedi on Thursday said he would campaign for the Congress in the coming general election.

Asked if he had joined the Congress, he said he was unaware of such formalities. "I have expressed my desire to campaign for the party in the elections."

"What is the need for joining the party? I am a born Congressman," he added.
