Sonia noncommittal on Bellary

Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Wednesday parried a question on whether someone from her family would contest from Bellary, Karnataka, in the Lok Sabha election.

"You will come to know soon," she said in Bangalore.

Gandhi had won from both Bellary and Amethi in the last general election, but resigned from Bellary, where she had defeated the Bharatiya Janata Party's Sushma Swaraj.

The Karnataka unit of the Congress has requested her to contest again from Bellary or field one of her children, Priyanka or Rahul.
