Gehlot began his campaign by paying tribute to Rajesh Pilot at the late Congress leader’s samadhi on National Highway 11. Pilot died in a road accident at this spot three years ago.
At an election rally in Dausa, which Pilot represented in the Lok Sabha, Gehlot spoke of fulfilling Pilot’s dream of a prosperous Rajasthan. “Every village will have water and electricity,” the chief minister announced as the crowds cheered.
