Pramod Tiwari enters record books

Election 2002

Uttar Pradesh Congress legislature party leader Pramod Tiwari has won from the prestigious Rampur Khas assembly segment of Pratapgarh district for the 7th time in a row.

He defeated his nearest rival Pushpa Devi of Apna Dal by a margin of over 80,000 votes. All the candidates, including Pushpa Devi, lost their deposits.

According to UP Congress Committee spokesmen Kishore Varshney, Tiwari, by winning the seat for the 7th consecutive time on the ticket of the same party and same symbol, has entered the Guinness Book of World Records.

People from all walks of life in Rampur Khas are celebrating the victory of their representative.
