Udayanraje Bhosale remanded to police custody

The Additional Sessions Judge Sunil Kotwal at Satara has cancelled the judical custody given to former state minister, Udyanraje Bhosale, and remanded him to police custody till September 23.

Bhosale, who was arrested on the polling day on September 11 for his alleged involvement in the murder of a Nationalist Congress Party worker, Sharad Leve, was initially remanded to judicial custody. Later, he was hospitalised for his heart aliment. The doctors treating him said that he still needs to be kept under observation.

Meanwhile, seven persons allegedly involved in the Leve murder case have been given police custody, four have been given judicial and four are still at large.
