Case filed against MP Republican Party chief

A case has been registered against Madhya Pradesh Republican Party president Vijay Kumar Patil for violating the Model Code of Conduct by allegedly asking for votes on the basis of caste.

Patil is in the fray from the Balaghat Lok Sabha constituency which will go to the polls during the third phase of elections in the state on September 25. The Baraseoni police have lodged the case under the Representation of Peoples Act.
