JD-U leaves selection of ministers to Vajpayee

The Janata Dal (united) MPs today decided to leave the selection of the new cabinet to Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee.

All 20 MPs of the party held a meeting at former union minister, Ram Vilas Paswan's, residence in New Delhi.

Neither Paswan nor the other leaders gave any indication as to what other issues were discussed at the meeting

Those who attended today's meeting included JD (u)'s parliamentary party leader George Fernandes, senior leaders Ramakrishna Hegde and Nitish Kumar.

JD (u) president, Sharad Yadav, earlier met Home Minister L K Advani and BJP vice president Kailaspati Mishra.
