Ahead of the IPL mini-auction, Chennai Super Kings ended their hugely successful 11-year association with legendary all-rounder Dwayne Bravo while Sunrisers Hyderabad released star batter Kane Williamson.

As all the 10 teams have announced their list of retained and released players, the picture of what to expect from the mini-auction is clear.

SunRisers Hyderabad, who let go of Captain Williamson and big-hitter Nicholas Pooran, will have the highest purse of over Rs 40 crore (Rs 400 million) for the auction as they look to make amends for some questionable buys at the mega auction in February.

Apart from Bravo, CSK decided to let go of death-overs specialist Chris Jordan, while anmouncing that Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who will be three months short of 42, will lead the team maybe for one last time.

Four-time champions CSK will head into the auction with a purse of Rs 20.45 crore (Rs 204.5 million).

Punjab Kings will head into the IPL auction with Rs 32.20 crore (Rs 322 million) to spend.

Mumbai Indians, who finished last in IPL 2022, have released 13 players to increase their spending power at Rs 20.55 crore (Rs 205.5 milliion). MI, who hired Jofra Archer at the February auction, have retained the tearaway on their books even though he hasn't bowled in many months.

Rajasthan Royals released nine players -- four Indians and five overseas players -- leaving RR with Rs 13.2 crore (Rs 132 million). The players released include James Neesham, Nathan Coulter-Nile and Rassie van der Dussen among others.

Delhi Capitals released four players -- Mandeep Singh, K S Bharat, Ashwin Hebbar and New Zealand wicketkeeper-batter Tim Seifert. Delhi Capitals traded all-rounder Shardul Thakur to Kolkata Knight Riders and brought in all-rounder Aman Khan in his place. They have a purse of 19.45 crore (Rs 194.5 million).

IPL 2022 Champions Gujarat Titans, after releasing six players, have Rs 19.25 crore (Rs 192.5 million) for next month's auction.

Jason Behrendorff, Aneeshwar Gautam, Chama Milind, Luvnith Sisodia, Sherfane Rutherford were released by Royal Challengers Bangalore, leaving RCB with Rs 8.75 crore (Rs 87.5 million).

Lucknow Super Giants released Jason Holder and Dusmantha Chameera and have Rs 23.35 crore (Rs 233.5 million) for the auction.

Kolkata Knight Riders head into the auction with the lowest purse of Rs 7.05 crore (Rs 705 million). KKR were active in the trading window, securing Shardul Thakur from Delhi Capitals, Lockie Ferguson and Rahmanullah Gurbaz from Gujarat Titans. KKR are left with a paltry budget to fill 11 slots, including 3 overseas slots, at the mini-auction.

All teams will receive an extra Rs 5 crore (Rs 50 million) eacch to spend at the auction, which is likely to be held on December 16 in Kochi.
