'Our team should carry sub-continental pitches wherever they go'

Following India’s massive collapse and eventual 1-3 Test series loss to England on Sunday the chatter was loud on Twitter.

Former cricketers to India cricket fans, no one spared the Indian team for their dismal showing.

Here are some tweets that made a lot of noise and grabbed our attention…

‘Kohli will want to wake up in a sweat and be relieved that it was all a dream.....” Harsha Bhogle (‏@bhogleharsha) tweeted.

Former England captain Michael Vaughan (‏@MichaelVaughan) posted a picture of a white flag and tweeted: “The New Indian cricket flag…”

Praising India pacer Bhuvaneshwar Kumar, former Australia all-rounder Tom Moody (‏@TomMoodyCricket) tweeted: “The one bright light out of a poor series by India, the quality of @BhuviOfficial #EngvInd.”

England keeper Matt Prior who had  to quit the series mid-way because of an archilles injury, was on top the moon after the series win: “Unbelievable from England! Massive congrats to cooky and all the boys on the series win! Remember lads it's #5pmsomewhereintheworld #enjoy.”

India face Australia later this year and one cricket fan Siju Moothedath (‏@SijuMoothedath) is dreading India’s fate.

“India tour of Australia in Dec. Johnson and team must be licking their lips. Lambs to a slaughter. #LionsAtHomeLambsAbroad #IndvsEng.”

One Indian cricket supporter, Anand Prakash (‏@iAnandPrakash)seemed irritated by India’s consistent loss abroad and tweeted:

Sir Ravindra Jadeja (‏@SirJadeja) a popular parody account, tweeted: “Before Sachin's retirement everyone was praying for his 100 After his retirement everyone is praying for Team India's 100 #IndvsEng #EngvInd.”

One shishir hattangadi (‏@shishhattangadi) brought in the bollywood angle to the series debacle: “Didn't realize @aamir_khan and Lagaan hurt the British so much, they have taken Bhuvan's performance too seriously #IndvsEng.”

Another fan demanded some glamour be brought into the lives of cricketers for inspiration!
