Pakistan batsman Mohammad Yousuf [Images] has been cleared by an arbitration panel in Mumbai to take part in the Indian Premier League's (IPL) players' auction on Feb. 8, the Pakistan Cricket Board said on Monday.
The rebel Indian Cricket League (ICL) had filed a petition with the panel saying Yousuf had signed an agreement with them, taken an advance and then backed out of his contract.
Taffazzul Rizvi, the legal advisor who represented Yousuf at the hearing on Jan. 24, said he would be allowed to take part when the IPL franchises bid for their players.
Rizvi said another arbitration hearing to hear the ICL submissions was scheduled for Feb. 20.
The IPL is the Indian board's multi-million dollar professional Twenty20 league which has been launched to counter the ICL.
