Australia elect to bat against India

Australia captain Ricky Ponting [Images] won the toss and elected to bat first in their tri-series one-day international against India at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Sunday.

Australia made one change to the side that beat Sri Lanka [Images] in Melbourne on Friday with fast bowler Brett Lee [Images] replacing left-arm paceman Mitchell Johnson.

India made two changes to their side that beat Sri Lanka in Adelaide last week with opener Virender Sehwag [Images] recalled for Praveen Kumar and S Sreesanth [Images] replacing Munaf Patel [Images].

Australia: Ricky Ponting (captain), Adam Gilchrist [Images], Matthew Hayden [Images], Michael Clarke [Images], Mike Hussey, James Hopes, Andrew Symonds [Images], Brad Hogg [Images], Brett Lee, Nathan Bracken [Images], Stuart Clark.
