# By playing in the first ODI against India, Sanath Jayasuriya [Images] has equalled Sachin Tendulkar's [Images] record of most appearances (417) in limited-overs Internationals.

# Gautam Gambhir [Images] registered his first duck against Sri Lanka - his fourth in Limited-Overs Internationals.

# Ojha's unbeaten knock of 16 is his highest score in ODIs, bettering his 6 not out against Sri Lanka at Karachi on July 6, 2008.

# Ojha and Patel put on 29 runs - India's best partnership for the 10th wicket against Sri Lanka, outstripping the 24 between Munaf Patel [Images] and Harbhajan Singh [Images] at Port of Spain on March 23,2007. The said stand is the highest tenth wicket partnership by any pair against Sri Lanka at Dambulla.

# Jayawardene (61 not out)recorded his 11th fifty  against India - his 47th in ODIs.

# Ajantha Mendis' [Images] third Man of the Match award is his second against India.

# India lost their 40th ODI against Sri Lanka out of 102 played.

# India have lost all the four ODIs against Sri Lanka at Dambulla.
