South Africa [Images] fast bowler Dale Steyn is on course to return from injury for this month's limited-overs games against England [Images].

Steyn sat out the third test in Birmingham last week because of a fracture to his left thumb and will be missing again for the fourth and final Test at the Oval starting on Thursday.

Cricket South Africa said on its website that the player's thumb would remain in plaster for another week but added he was "on track to take part in the limited-overs segment of the tour".

The teams play a Twenty20 [Images] match in Durham on August 20 before meeting at Headingley, Leeds two days later in the first of a series of five one-day internationals.
