India elect to field in second Test

India won the toss and opted to field first in the second Test at Trent Bridge, Nottingham, on Friday.

After a delay of over four hours because of a wet outfield, umpires Simon Taufel and Ian Howell declared that play will commence at 1500 local time (1730 IST).

Both India and England [Images] retained their squads that played in the drawn first Test at Lord's.

Sourav Ganguly [Images], whose participation was doubtful because of back spasms, was ruled fit and included in the playing eleven.
