Australia elect to bat in final

Australian captain Ricky Ponting [Images] won the toss and elected to bat against the West Indies [Images] in the final of the DLF Cup one-day international tri-series in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday.

Michael Clarke [Images], Shane Watson and Nathan Bracken [Images] returned to the Australian side which defeated India in the last league match on Friday to reach the final.

Making way for the trio were Matthew Hayden [Images], Brad Hogg [Images] and Stuart Clark.

West Indies brought back fast bowlers Jerome Taylor [Images] and Fidel Edwards in place of Marlon Samuels and Corey Collymore.

Teams:

Australia [Images]: Ricky Ponting (captain), Simon Katich, Shane Watson, Damien Martyn, Andrew Symonds [Images], Michael Clarke, Michael Hussey, Brad Haddin, Brett Lee [Images], Glenn McGrath and Nathan Bracken.

West Indies: Brian Lara [Images] (captain), Chris Gayle, Shivnarine Chanderpaul [Images], Runako Morton, Ramnaresh Sarwan [Images], Dwayne Bravo [Images], Wavell Hinds, Dwayne Smith, Carlton Baugh Jr., Ian  Bradshaw and Jerome Taylor.
