Former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly [Images] on Friday left for a 50-day trip to England [Images] where he will turn out for Northamptonshire in county cricket.

The left-hander, who would be a replacement for Chris Rogers -- called up to play for Australia 'A' -- will make his debut for Northants on June 25 in the C and G Trophy limited overs tie against Nottinghamshire.

Ganguly, who returns home on August 5, will also have a taste of Twenty-20 cricket during his stint in England.

This would be Ganguly's third stint in English County cricket after having played for Lancashire in 2000 and Glamorgan last summer.
