Sri Lankan opening batsman Sanath Jayasuriya [Images] is to undergo a fitness test after he dislocated his shoulder when he slipped in the bath, a team spokesman has said.

One of four batsmen to have scored 10,000 one-day international runs, Jayasuriya was a late withdrawal from Sri Lanka's [Images] side for the third one-day match against New Zealand [Images] in Christchurch on Tuesday.

"Sanath was reaching for his shampoo when he slipped and fell in his bath," team manager Michael Tissera told the New Zealand Press Association.

Tissera said an assessment on Jayasuriya's shoulder would be made on Tuesday, though he would miss the fourth and fifth one-day matches of the series against New Zealand in Wellington on Friday and Napier on Sunday.

The 36-year-old would stay with the squad when they travel to Australia for a triangular one-day series involving the world champions and South Africa, which begins on January 13.
