The Pakistan Cricket Board has rejected a request from the West Indies [Images] to delay the start of their November tour by a few days and announced the itinerary on Friday.

The West Indies board wanted the tour postponed by a few days so that the team could participate in a high-profile Twenty20 match slated for November 10 at home.

PCB director cricket operations, Saleem Altaf, said Pakistan could not accommodate the request as the Asian team had to leave for South Africa in the final week of December and have scheduled a 10-day break for players following the series against the West Indies.

According to the itinerary released by the PCB, the West Indies will play three Tests and five one-day internationals.

"The itinerary has been finalised and they will tour from November 7 to December 16," Altaf told Reuters.

The West Indies last played in Pakistan in 1997 while their tour in 2000 was shifted to Sharjah for security reasons.

The tour itinerary:

Nov 11-15: 1st Test at Lahore [Images]

Nov 19-23: 2nd Test at Multan

Nov 27-Dec 1: 3rd Test at Karachi

Dec 5: 1st ODI at Rawalpindi

Dec 7: 2nd ODI at Faisalabad

Dec 10: 3rd ODI at Lahore

Dec 13: 4th ODI at Multan

Dec 16: 5th ODI at Karachi
