The International Cricket Council will initiate the process for sale of audio-visual rights of its events between the second half of 2007 and the 2015 World Cup, prior to the Champions Trophy in India in October.

"The period includes 18 ICC [Images] tournaments with two World Cups, in Asia (2011) and Australasia (2015), and a minimum of three Champions Trophy tournaments," the ICC said in a statement on Sunday.

The sale process of sponsorship rights for the eight-year timeframe is next in the pipeline.

The first two Twenty20 world championships, in South Africa (2007) and England [Images] (2009), also feature among the events.

The current agreement with Global Cricket Corporation, which began in 2000, ends with the 2007 World Cup in the West Indies [Images] next March and April.
