England [Images] now have five bowlers in the top 20 of the LG ICC [Images] Test Rankings, and the best-ever combined points for an England bowling attack following the completion of the fourth Ashes Test match.

Simon Jones jumped six places after his five wickets at Trent Bridge, to give him his best LG ICC ranking yet at 17th.

England's highest ranked bowler is Matthew Hoggard [Images] at nine, after he climbed two places.

Andrew Flintoff [Images] is ranked 11th, Stephen Harmison 13th, while left-arm spinner Ashley Giles completes their domination at number 20.

The rankings show that the biggest difference between the two sides during the series has been in the bowling department, though if Glenn McGrath returns at the Brit Oval, Australia will once again have two of the top three bowlers in the world at their disposal.

The Australian speedster retained top ranking despite missing the fourth Ashes Test due to injury.

In the batting rankings Australia still have the edge, though for the first time in several years there is now only one Australian batsman, Ricky Ponting [Images], in the top ten, with Damien Martyn and Adam Gilchrist [Images] dropping to 12th and 13th places respectively.

Marcus Trescothick [Images] (8th) remains England's top ranked batsman, while Andrew Flintoff has gained six places to climb to 23rd, his career-best.
