Amarnath, Patil among four shortlisted

The six-member committee formed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India has shortlisted Greg Chappel, Tom Moody, Mohinder Amarnath and Sandeep Patil as candidates for the job of Indian team coach.

They will be called for an interview, the date of which would be finalised after considering the availability of the candidates, a BCCI statement said.

The panel met at a five-star hotel in Kolkata on Sunday.

All the members of the committee, including former India captains Sunil Gavaskar [Images], S Venkataraghavan and Ravi Shastri were present.

BCCI president Ranbir Singh Mahendra is chairman of the committee while secretary S K Nair is the convenor.

Former BCCI president Jagmohan Dalmiya is the sixth member of the committee.
