The two-member Pakistan security team met with the newly-elected office-bearers of the Board of Control for Cricket in India on Thursday.

Pakistan Cricket Board general manager (Operations) Zakir Khan and Lahore's [Images] Superintendent of Police Sohail Khan [Images] had a meeting with the office-bearers after the conclusion of the Annual General Meeting in Kolkata.

BCCI secretary S K Nair later told reporters that the team was presented a programme of the schedule detailing their stay and travel in India.

"We have given them a schedule. They would now be heading for Ahmedabad, which has been recommended as one of the Test venues during the forthcoming series," Nair said.

Nair said the team is "expected to wind up its visit by January 31".

"Once they go back, they would file a report. Once that report reaches us, we will convene a Working Committee meeting to discuss it in detail.

"It is then that we will know whether further dialogue is required [with the PCB] or any improvement needed at any of the venues," he said, adding that he is hopeful of the report being made available to the BCCI by the first week of February.

Nair said subsequent to the Working Committee meeting, the venues identified would be forwarded to the government for final approval.

The Pakistan team is due to arrive on February 25 to play three Tests and five One-Day Internationals. The BCCI has shortlisted the venues but the dates of the matches are yet to be finalised.
