The Board of Control for Cricket in India is to finalise the dates and venues of next month's home one-day international series against Sri Lanka [Images], on September six.

"The Tours Programmes and Fixtures Commitee is to meet in Mumbai on September six to finalise the Sri Lanka series itinerary," a Board source said on Saturday.

The Cricket Board allots venues on a national rotation formula and its sub-committee is expected to adhere to it while finalising the venues.

The Lankans are scheduled to split their full tour, comprising Tests and One-Day Internationals, into two halves and would play the best-of-seven limited overs international series against India from October 25 to November 12.

India are then slated to play the three-Test series against the Lankans between December 1 and 22 after being involved in a five-match ODI series at home against South Africa from November 17 to 29.
