Dravid continues to top PwC ratings

August 09, 2004 17:46 IST

Indian vice-captain Rahul Dravid led the Test batting honours for the second straight week ahead of Australia's Matthew Hayden in the latest cricket ratings released in London on Saturday.

In bowling, a six-wicket haul in the first Test against Sri Lanka at Galle enabled South African Shaun Pollock to move to within 13 points of leader Muttiah Muralitharan, according to the ratings by PricewaterhouseCoopers.

With little Test cricket action in the last week, there were not much changes in the positions in either batting or bowling top tens.

In batting, Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag continued to be on the eighth and ninth spot respectively while Anil Kumble retained his place at number three in the bowlers' list.
