September 16, 2003 21:25 IST

The Chief Executives of the major cricket nations will address key issues facing the game when the ICC's Cricket Committee - Management (CC-M) meets at the Cricket Club of India, in Mumbai, from September 18-19.

The following subjects will be discussed at the meeting:

- ICC Champions Trophy in England in September 2004

- ICC Under-19 World Cup in Bangladesh in February and March 2004

- Suspect bowling actions process

- Performance analysis of match officials

- Player associations

According to a statement from the ICC, the meeting will be chaired ICC Chief Executive Malcolm Speed and attended by ICC President Ehsan Mani.

"I am looking forward to traveling to India for the CC-M meeting," said Mani.

"There is such passion for the cricket in India which makes it a logical place for a meeting that will focus on the business of the sport."

The CC-M is one of the ICC's two `Cricket Committees'. It is composed of the Chief Executives of the ICC's 10 Full Member countries together with three representatives from Associate Member countries. Its role is to deal with operational and management matters relating to the administration and operation of the game of cricket. It has decision-making powers on issues relating to the business of cricket, and on other issues provides recommendations to the ICC Board.

It is complemented by Cricket Committee - Playing (CC-P), which is the body responsible for on-field issues in international cricket. CC-P is composed of former international players and officials and includes six player representatives nominated directly by current international players.
