Chakraborthy named India 'A' manager

Samiran Chakraborthy of Tripura has been appointed manager of the England-bound India 'A' team, Board of Control for Cricket in India executive secretary Sharad Diwadkar announced in Mumbai on Thursday.

The team, which will be led by Test opening batsman Shiv Sunder Das, will play two four-day, five three-day and four one-day games during the tour, from June 22 to August 3.

The team:

S S Das (capt), Wasim Jaffer, Gautam Gambhir, Satyajit Parab, Hemang Badani, Sridharan Sriram, Ambati Rayudu, Rohan Gavaskar, Vijay Bharadwaj, Parthiv Patel (wk), L Balaji, Aavishkar Salvi, Amit Bhandari, Irfan Pathan (jr), Murali Kartik, Amit Mishra.
