Your message:skill's wise he is definately the best.but at this level it's not skills alone that matter. others like ganguly for example may be no where near sachin skills but they make up in mental strength. sachin has never played a big innings in the second innings. people talk about india losing 10 consecutive finals in odi's, what they dont realise is sachin avgerages less then 20 in these matches. a clear indication of failing to score when required. after the 1998 sharjah innings, how many great innings has achin played,or rather match winning ones? i am a big tendulkar fan, no batsman can hit a cover drive on the back foot like him, or hit a ball 2 inches outside off stump to midwicket. or play a paddle sweep so fine, or hit a reverse sweep of a fast bowler (against kenya world cup 99)so talent wise he is by far the best. but he lacks it in mental strength, if only he becomes more aggresive, since 1999 after the world cup when he got out in the deep against pakistan, he has hardly hit the ball in the air, he plays to cautisously now a days, which is against his game. sachin tendulkar as a batsman is to aggresive by nature so by playing a slow innings he is going against his nature, which his where he fails of late. he hardly dominates the spinners any more, 2nd rate spinners like raymond price and ashley giles dominate him now, while the old sachin would make mockery of saqlain and company.please ask him to hit more sixes against spinners, ask him to back himself more, he has the talent to clear any ground in the world, so why has he cut the risks and slowed down? what happens is he getsa frustrated if he dosent score fast and then makes a mistake. he dosent have the nature of rahul dravid or sunil gavskar to face 50 overs without scoring a run.he loves to dominate from ball 1. as a fan i would appecriate if u pass this on to sachin. sachin we dont wanna pressuire you more, u already are the most pressuired batsman or sportsman in the world today. but plz realise you are not doing your massive talent any justice by getting out to second rate bowlers or spinners.an avegrage of 58 may be awesome for most batsman or any batsman. but not to u. you however know what is best for you and we fans are no one to comment. but please take this seriously or atleast give it a thought from a big fan of yours who has been watching yuor every game for the past 6 years. please be more aggersive in tests. all the best for your 100th test.
