And as for you Ganguly, I wish you had done that disrobing on the field, instead of the balcony. It would really have been poetic justice to a sickening show of disrespect on our soil. Jai Hind, and hope this killer instinct continues until(and after) the World Cup next year. PS: Has anynody paid attention to the fact that Lagaan was re-enacted at Lord's? The Lagaan team scored 322(if my memory is correct), and the Indian team went a 4-Up on this occasion. Just goes to show that history repeats itself, and for the better in this case :)! The decision to play an extra batsman and make Rahul Dravid keep wickets has been the master stroke. Between now and the World Cup next February, India should continue to play the 7 batsmen and induct Zaheer, Nehra, Ajit Agarkar and Harbhajan Singh as the specialist bowlers. There are enough bowlers to fill in the role of the 5th bowler with Saurav, Yuvraj, Shewag and Sachin to turn in their bowling arm. There is no way India can lose matches if they stick to this combination. Additional observation - Sachin, Dinesh and Rahul did not shoulder their responsibilities in this crucial final. They abdicated their role and literally threw Yuvraj and Kaif to the wolves to fend for themselves. It is sheer grit and deteermination of these two splendid youngsters that made victory possible.
